Final Place: 21st. I learned so much from my experience with the stockmarket game. The biggest lession I learned would be that it is best to do a little research and pick up stocks that aren’t well known and have recently gone down. These little known stocks, often with low price points, have the ability to rebound large precentages within hours. The main thing I did that didn’t work and I would like to go back and change was my early involvment with bigname companies. While these firms are great for long term moneymaking I a safe envrionment, they are quite poor for short term money gain. Ford in particular hobbled me for the first few weeks. I purchased it when unfortunately it was at it’s peak and couldn’t regain that price point. I waited forever for it to go back up, which was a large piece of my capital that I couldn’t use for other investments, and eventually had to sell it for a few hundred dollar loss. This is exactly what happened with RadioShack. I bought it when the iPad 2 was released for sale there, and after it shot up it continued to decend until I was loosing money. I enjoyed the game, even though the delayed updates really screwed me a couple of times. It was a good experience and I look foreward to applying what I’ve learned into a real world situation where I can actually make real money.

The game is ending today and nothing should really change. I pretty much ended back up where I was a few months ago, in 21st place. Regardless, the stocks I am holding are great and I should make a few thousand more dollars off of them today alone.

With the game ending tomorrow, it is unlikely that I will be able to do much of anything for my position. Despite this though, my stocks are up and I will finish higher then I have recently. The death of bin Ladin has made the market jump up so while I will make money, everyone else will too.

My stocks went up like 20 cents so I’m doing very well. Things should be looking up from now on. Stocks are a little down now.

The investment I made turned out to be a great one. At the start of the market, it was about 8.26 and I bought it at about 8.06. Hopefully it will continue to go up.

My place is still 22nd, but I think things are about change. MIPS has plummeted in the past few days, and I’m thinking about going into it and hopefully turning a massive profit. I’m not sure though, since this massive decline comes just a day after they announced 15% increase in revenue, unless that was just short of what was expected. I am planning on buying to today since it doesn’t look like it can go further down, but it is still a pretty big risk.

I am still waiting to make my move. The market is down which provides for some chances to jump on some low stocks for them to fire back up.

I am still in 22nd thanks to the inconsistancy of the games ability to update orders. I don’t expect to bounce back like I did eairler, but I will try. The stock market is still unpredictable so I won’t be jumping in again just yet.

I have plumeted back to 23rd. I would probably be in first if the game updated when you bought stock, but that is not the case. As a result, I have 85 thousand instead of what would be 100 plus.
